The future. For over 390 years.
Tobias Albrecht founded the copper hammer mill ‘Albrechtshammer’ in Ohrdruf, Thuringia, which is now a museum. Even back then, the company was synonymous with diligence and productive capacity. This is also reflected in the company’s motto at the time:
The Albrechts have always fared well, as long as the hammer keeps striking.

Georg Albrecht-Früh, a descendant of the company’s founders, was forced by the compulsory purchase in Thuringia to completely rebuild the business from scratch in the West in 1952. In the years that followed, in line with technological developments, copper was increasingly replaced by stainless steel and modern special alloys.
Expansion of production facilities using state-of-the-art technology and relocation to the Klause Industrial Park in Lindlar, near Cologne.
Commissioning of the first laser cutting machine, enabling standardised production runs and bespoke custom-made items to be manufactured more quickly, more accurately and more efficiently.
Having joined the company in 1994 (Anne Köntje, née Albrecht-Früh) and four years later (Dirk Köntje), they took over the management of the company in 2006.
Quality management certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
Albrecht now operates two production plants in the Klause Industrial Park in Lindlar, in order to cater even more effectively to its various business areas and to further enhance sector-specific customer satisfaction: Plant 1 on Schlosserstraße for container and apparatus construction, and Plant 2 on Gerberstraße for sheet metal working.
