Design, manufacture and documentation for columns

Our columns are individually designed for demanding applications in plant engineering and process engineering. As key pieces of plant, they carry out separation, reaction or mass transfer processes – for example in distillation, absorption, rectification or as stripping columns for degreasing.

We manufacture reaction columns, separation columns and industrial columns from stainless steel, steel and special materials. Design, manufacture and documentation are precisely tailored to the medium, temperature, pressure and throughput – and, where required, in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU).

Safety and certifications at Albrecht

  • DIN EN ISO 9001 – Quality Management
  • AD 2000 Information Sheet HP0 – Manufacture of Pressure Equipment
  • Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) – CE marking
  • TÜV-certified welding personnel and supervision
  • EN 1090 EXC3 – load-bearing components
  • In-house non-destructive testing (e.g. ultrasonic testing)

A selection from our range of services

What types of columns do we offer?

Our process engineering units are custom-designed for each specific process task. The design, internal components and materials are determined by the separation capacity, the substance system and the operating conditions. Among other things, we manufacture:

Reaction columns

Reaction columns combine chemical reactions and separation of substances in a single piece of equipment. They are used in the chemical industry and process engineering wherever reaction kinetics and mass transfer need to be precisely controlled.

Distillation & Rectification Columns

We develop distillation and rectification columns for thermal separation processes. These enable the efficient separation of mixtures of substances according to their boiling points and are designed precisely to meet product requirements and ensure energy efficiency.

Absorption and separation columns

Absorption columns and separation columns are used to separate or absorb specific substances from gas or liquid streams. Their design and internal components are tailored to the throughput, medium and separation task.

Stripping columns

Strippingcolumns are used for degreasing or removing volatile components – for example, in surface treatment or wastewater treatment.
