High-performance oxy-fuel cutting for thick sheet metal
Thick materials, robust components and cost-effective cutting – oxy-fuel cutting of steel for demanding industrial applications.
Reliable cutting for extremely thick materials
Oxy-fuel cutting is the tried-and-tested cutting process for steel with thicknesses of up to 300 mm. At Albrecht, oxy-fuel cutting is used wherever steel sheets need to be cut economically, safely and with consistent process stability.
The process offers the advantages of a vertical cut, high performance and robustness, making it ideal for heavy components, base plates and load-bearing structures.
Materials and thicknesses
Following oxy-fuel cutting, all further processing takes place directly at Albrecht. This includes CNC bending, drilling, countersinking, thread cutting and mechanical machining such as milling or turning. Deburring, weld edge preparation and preparation for subsequent welding processes are also carried out in-house. This results in functional, ready-to-assemble components without any external interfaces.
Oxy-fuel cutting is often the basis for solid assemblies, base frames, beams, flanges or reinforcements in plant, machinery and vessel construction. At Albrecht, these are turned into complete assemblies – from cutting, through bending and machining, right through to welding and pickling. All processes are optimally coordinated and ensure high dimensional accuracy and load-bearing capacity.
At Albrecht, oxy-fuel cutting is carried out using CNC technology and with reliable process control. Even with very thick materials, reproducible cuts with a defined cut quality are achieved. The close integration with edge-processing equipment, mechanical machining and welding technology results in an efficient manufacturing process – from thick raw sheet metal to components ready for installation.
Albrecht has an extensive range of materials available for oxy-fuel cutting. These include various unalloyed and alloyed steels, as well as heat-resistant grades. The high availability of materials enables short response times and reliable planning, even for large-scale or last-minute projects.
Quality and Control
At Albrecht, oxy-fuel cutting is carried out in accordance with clearly defined quality guidelines and certified standards. On request, we supply cut-to-size parts complete with material certificates, test reports or full traceability, particularly for safety-critical applications.
Complete manufacturing and testing documentation can be provided for each project, such as material certificates or welding documentation.
FAQ
All the relevant processes are carried out in-house at Albrecht: edge finishing, drilling, milling, turning, as well as welding and assembly. This results in precision-fit, robust components and complete assemblies, all from a single source.
