Questions about our solutions

What are the benefits of laser cutting at Albrecht?

Laser cutting enables dimensionally accurate, almost right-angled cut edges with a small heat-affected zone and minimal warping. Stainless steel parts remain free from oxidation and usually require no further machining. Furthermore, there are no tooling costs, as geometries can be flexibly adapted. On request, components can be marked using laser engraving, which significantly simplifies further processing.

What material thicknesses can be processed using a laser?

Albrecht’s laser cutting service processes stainless steel up to 30 mm, steel up to 25 mm and aluminium up to 15 mm. Dimensions of up to 2,000 x 4,000 mm are possible. In addition, further in-house processing steps such as drilling, thread cutting, edge finishing, rolling and welding are offered.

What makes plasma cutting so special?

Plasma cutting is a particularly cost-effective and flexible thermal cutting process. It is ideally suited to thicker materials and reduces material consumption thanks to the range of intermediate thicknesses available. Cuts of up to 100 mm are possible. Underwater plasma and dry cutting are also available.

How does the 24-hour plasma service work?

With the 24-hour service, customers send in their drawings; Albrecht immediately checks material availability and draws up a binding quotation. Production begins immediately upon confirmation of the order. Within 24 hours, the material is cut, inspected and ready for dispatch – fast, organised and reliable.

What opportunities does sub-assembly manufacturing offer?

Albrecht manufactures complete assemblies, from design through to cutting, machining and final assembly. Services include welding, tack welding, assembly and the fulfilment of complete bills of materials. Typical products include flanges, manholes, tube sheets and pre-assembled components for plant equipment.

What machining and cutting services are available?

In the machining sector, Albrecht offers conventional turning, CNC turning, milling, drilling, countersinking, thread cutting and bending up to a length of 3,000 mm with a pressing force of 230 tonnes. This is complemented by surface finishing processes such as grinding, blasting, painting or pickling, as well as certified welding work – including for pipe sections and cones.

What capacity is available in the field of plant and vessel construction?

The workshop’s capacity accommodates vessels and equipment up to 4,000 mm in diameter and up to 50 m in length. High-performance rolling mills, an in-house pickling plant and TÜV-certified welders ensure high quality. Pipework and special structures are also carried out on a project-by-project basis.

What certificates and exams are available?

Albrecht works in accordance with recognised standards such as PED 2014/68/EU, AD 2000 HP0, DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 3834. In addition, WAZ re-stamping in accordance with EN 764-5 for material certificates in accordance with DIN EN 10204 (3.1/3.2) as well as in-house ultrasonic testing are available – ensuring maximum safety and documented quality.
