Steel structural engineering

Definition

In industrial steel construction, load-bearing steel structures are fabricated for buildings or installations – e.g. beams, scaffolding or platforms. These structures are assessed according to their potential risk at the site. This results in the execution classes set out in the European standard EN 1090: EXC1 to EXC4.
