Precision plasma cutting for heavy-duty metal components
High cutting speeds, thick materials and consistent quality – plasma cutting of steel, stainless steel, duplex, super-duplex and heat-resistant materials.
Powerful cutting for thick sheets
Plasma cutting is the ideal cutting process for materials of both small and large thicknesses, as well as robust components. At Albrecht, we utilise state-of-the-art CNC plasma technology, which enables high-performance cutting even with demanding materials. Plasma cutting is particularly effective for steel, stainless steel, and duplex and super-duplex steels, offering efficiency, flexibility and cost-effectiveness for both individual parts and production runs.
Materials and thicknesses
Following plasma cutting, all further processing takes place directly at Albrecht. This includes CNC bending, drilling, countersinking, thread cutting and mechanical machining such as milling or turning. Deburring, weld edge preparation and other preparatory steps are also carried out in-house.
This end-to-end process chain results in components that are ready for assembly, without any loss of time or external interfaces.
Plasma-cut components often form the basis for load-bearing structures, housings, reinforcements or large-format components in apparatus and vessel construction. At Albrecht, these are transformed into complete assemblies, from cutting and folding through to machining, welding and pickling. All processes are optimally coordinated with one another and ensure robust, durable assemblies for machines, plant and industrial systems.
Albrecht’s CNC-controlled plasma cutting process is designed to deliver high repeatability and consistent quality. Precise cuts are achieved even with thick materials and complex contours. Close integration with downstream manufacturing stages such as edge finishing, welding and mechanical machining results in an efficient, seamless production process.
Albrecht maintains an extensive stock of materials on site for plasma cutting. These include unalloyed and alloyed steels, stainless steels, duplex and super-duplex materials, as well as heat-resistant grades. This high level of material availability enables short response times and forms the basis for our particularly fast plasma cutting service.
One of Albrecht’s key features is its 24-hour plasma cutting service. For time-sensitive projects, we produce plasma-cut parts in the shortest possible time, from order placement to dispatch.
This makes our plasma cutting service the ideal solution for spare parts, repairs or short-term production bottlenecks.
Quality and Control
Plasma cutting at Albrecht is carried out in accordance with clearly defined quality guidelines and certified standards. On request, we can supply cut-to-size parts complete with material certificates, test reports or full traceability – particularly for applications in plant and vessel construction.

Complete production and inspection documentation can be provided for each project, such as material certificates or welding documentation.
FAQ
Plasma cutting allows particularly thick materials to be processed cost-effectively and reliably. At Albrecht, we cut steel up to approx. 100 mm and stainless steel up to approx. 80 mm. This makes the process ideally suited to load-bearing components, base plates, reinforcements and large-format components. It is precisely in those situations where laser cutting reaches its economic or technical limits that plasma cutting really comes into its own.
Yes. Duplex and super-duplex steels are very well suited to plasma cutting and form part of Albrecht’s regular production range. These materials are frequently used in applications where there are high demands on corrosion resistance, strength or resistance to specific media – for example, in plant and vessel construction. Thanks to our experience in working with demanding materials, we ensure that the cutting process is carried out reliably and that the material is optimally prepared for further processing.
Modern CNC plasma technology enables precise cutting with consistent quality – particularly for medium to large material thicknesses. The cut edges are clean and uniform, meaning the components can be processed further without any problems. For many applications, no reworking – or only minimal reworking – is required. If necessary, we can carry out deburring or weld edge finishing in-house.
At Albrecht, plasma cutting does not stop at the blank. All relevant further processing steps are carried out directly in our production facility. These include CNC bending, drilling, countersinking, thread cutting and mechanical machining such as milling or turning. Welding, surface preparation and the complete assembly of sub-assemblies are also part of the process. This enables us to produce precisely fitting, ready-to-assemble components or complete sub-assemblies, all from a single source.
Plasma cutting at Albrecht is carried out in accordance with certified quality standards. These include, amongst others, DIN EN ISO 9001, EN 1090, AD 2000 HP0 and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU. On request, we can provide material certificates, test reports or full traceability, particularly for safety-critical applications in industrial and plant engineering.
Our 24-hour plasma cutting service means: a maximum of 24 hours from order confirmation to dispatch. The 24-hour service is limited to the actual execution of the order. Thanks to our extensive stock of materials, in-house production and clearly structured processes, we carry out plasma cutting particularly quickly and reliably – ideal for time-sensitive orders and spare parts.
