Machine operator​

This is what you’ll actually be doing:

• You clamp workpieces into CNC lathes and milling machines.​
• You set up the machine and programme the machining operations.​
• Step by step, a precision component takes shape.​
• In doing so, you work with an accuracy of one hundredth of a millimetre.​

What qualifications are required:

Secondary school leaving certificate or general secondary school leaving certificate​
