Through a new KURS learning partnership, W. Albrecht GmbH & Co. KG is strengthening its support for young talent and offering school pupils practical insights into modern metalworking.
An important part of our company’s development and our responsibility towards our region is the ongoing support of promising young talent. As a training organisation, the signing of the cooperation agreement with Lindlar Municipal Secondary School for a KURS learning partnership represents a valuable addition to our existing collaboration with schools. Through the KURS programme, pupils will be able to experience and gain an understanding of the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities available at our company, which specialises in tank and apparatus construction as well as comprehensive sheet metal working.
“We are looking forward to meeting these young people and introducing them to our exciting and varied activities – and, of course, to our company. Often, it is difficult for them to grasp from the outside just how we combine modern technologies with traditional craftsmanship. These insights into our operations will certainly help provide important guidance for their career choices,” explains Anne Köntje, the Managing Director, outlining her motivation for actively shaping this project organised by the regional Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Cologne District Government.
The collaboration will certainly enrich not only the pupils’ theoretical lessons through the practical experience gained during future work placements and company tours, but will also enable our company to present itself as an employer and a training organisation, and to give pupils the confidence to make the right career choice.
