A blowpipe, 35 metres long in total, leaves the workshop where it was made.
January 2020: The lorry drives out of our warehouse and seems to go on forever. On board is a 35-metre-long natural gas discharge pipe. It’s always a bit sad when our ‘babies’ leave the Albrecht workshop in Lindlar, Oberberg, but for this 10-tonne ‘baby’, the time had finally come. After four months of construction, carried out entirely in-house, 20 ‘foster fathers’ from the apparatus and vessel construction department bid it farewell. With a special night-time transport, including an over-length load and an escort vehicle, it’s off to its new home.
