Horizontal, double-walled 50 m³ storage tank in accordance with WHG DIN 6616 AD2000 EN1090-3
This storage tank is designed for coke oven and blast furnace gas condensates in the steel-producing industry. It is currently being manufactured from stainless steel by Albrecht Edelstahltechnik. The individual components are laser-cut, rolled and welded. All surfaces are pickled to a metallic finish and passivated to provide corrosion protection. The double-walled tank (outer material 1.4571; inner material duplex / 1.4462; sheet thickness 4 mm) has a diameter of 2.5 m. With a length of 10 m, the tank will weigh 7,350 kg upon completion at the Albrecht Edelstahltechnik works in the vessel fabrication area, including the Klöpper heads. The vessel is supported on three box-type supports. The non-destructive testing comprises X-ray inspection of the inner vessel, dye penetration testing of all remaining welds, a helium leak test and a hydrostatic pressure test. The double-walled test chamber will finally be fitted with a vacuum leak monitoring system.
